Right as I was sitting down to watch the SuperBowl I saw this tweet from Darren Rowse. Seemed like a useful thing to have so I cranked out a proof of concept after the Steelers pulled out a squeaker win.

Picasa Download
Download your or a friend’s Picasa photos with a couple clicks.
Download a single album or all.
Due to Picasa limitations, the retrieved images are only web quality.
You can only download public albums for now, I might add the ability to download private stuff if there is sufficient demand.

FriendBackup
FriendBackup is an application I wrote in response to a Twitter outage(in July ‘08) that caused many users to lose some of their relationships.
After download of the client, FriendBackup communicates directly with Twitter to retrieve your data, you can’t risk something that was never exposed in the first place.
